Day 1 — Pena and Castelo dos Mouros
09:00 — Pena Park and Palace
Book entry as early as possible and arrive at the park at least 30 minutes in advance. Dedicate the morning to the palace and a short walk through the park.
13:00 — Break and movement
Have lunch or a light meal, respecting the rules of the venue. Continue to Castelo dos Mouros only if you have good mobility.
14:30 — Castle of the Moors
The castle normally opens from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, with last entry at 5:30 pm. The route has slopes, steps and uneven ground. Set aside 90 minutes.
Day 2 — Village, National Palace and Regaleira
09:30 — Sintra National Palace
Start in the historic center. The palace normally opens at 09:30; set aside about 90 minutes.
11:30 — Historic center
Walk the village streets and have lunch before your second visit.
14:00 — Quinta da Regaleira
Allow 2h30 to 3h for the gardens, tunnels and buildings. Entrances are timed and the garden closes later than the interiors.
Transport
Do not take a car to the mountains. Check buses and notices on the day of your visit and leave space between monuments, as traffic and demand can increase travel times.
