An official EN2 stop combining the mining landscape, Vipasca heritage, municipal museum and the viewpoint above the town.

Aljustrel

Aljustrel has an identity inseparable from mining, from the Roman territory of Vipasca to modern industrial activity. The Municipal Museum and the Minas Gerais archeology center help to interpret the landscape, where malacates, heaps and neighborhoods reveal different eras. Some areas are industrial or conditioned and should not be explored without authorization. The Nossa Senhora do Castelo viewpoint offers a wide view of the town and the plain. The great crossing of the Portuguese interior, with around 739 km between Trás-os-Montes and the Algarve.
