Lousã combines a village with services, a monumental hillside and a network of mountain villages. Arouce Castle and the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Piedade form a landscaped complex next to the river. Talasnal, Cerdeira, Candal, Casal Novo and Chiqueiro are part of the Schist Villages network, but are scattered and connected by narrow roads. Choose one or two visits and confirm access, fires and parking. The great crossing of the Portuguese interior, with around 739 km between Trás-os-Montes and the Algarve.
