The peninsula includes DOC Palmela and DOC Setúbal, between sandy plains and limestone soils near Serra da Arrábida.

Palmela is strongly linked to Castelão; Setúbal is reserved for fortified Moscatel de Setúbal and Moscatel Roxo.
