Understand the place
The granite village stretches on a hillside in the Serra da Estrela, under a medieval castle with two towers and a wide view.
What to watch out for
Climb up to the castle, walk along the sidewalk and observe manor houses, Manueline windows, fountains and the old Jewish quarter. Exposure to the wind also favored Linhares' contemporary connection to gliding, without erasing the reading of its medieval core.
Prepare the passage
Take time to explore the city center on foot, respect homes and properties and only use designated parking spaces. Confirm any changes to access, events and services on the official network and local entities.
