Framing
Penedo Furado brings together a river beach, waterfalls, walkways and rocky outcrops in the municipality of Vila de Rei. The name relates to a natural opening in the rock visible in the local landscape.

Only follow authorized walkways and viewpoints, observing waterfalls, riverside vegetation and quartzite reliefs without leaving the route.

In summer there is strong demand and conditions. Confirm surveillance, access, fire risk and condition of walkways; wet rock and banks can be slippery.

Penedo Furado combines with Vila de Rei and Água Formosa, but bathing demand and seasonal conditions should determine the order and duration of the stops.
